主讲人：Laurence Helfer （美国杜克大学法学院教授）
报告题目：International Law on the Use of Force and the Crises in the Ukraine and Syria
Laurence Helfer教授简介：
Professor Helfer is the Harry R. Chadwick, Sr. Professor of Law at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in the United States. He is an expert in the areas of international human rights law and institutions, international litigation and dispute settlement, international LGBT rights, and international intellectual property law and policy. He is co-director of Duke University Law School’s Center for International and Comparative Law and a Senior Fellow with Duke’s Kenan Institute for Ethics. He recently taught a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on “International Human Rights Law: Prospects and Challenges.”

“王铁崖国际法系列讲座”始于2006年，旨在推动国际法在中国的传播和发展，促进国际法的教学和理论研究。在王铁崖国际法基金的资助下，该活动已成功举办了100余场讲座，主讲人包括国内外著名的国际法专家、涉外实务部门的负责人等。
