主讲人介绍：Donald Tobin has served as Dean of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law since 2014. In addition, he is one of the nation’s leading experts on the intersection of tax and campaign finance laws, the author of a leading casebook on federal income taxation and of numerous articles on the use of the tax code to regulate campaign financing. Immediately prior to his arrival at Maryland Carey Law, Dean Tobin spent more than a decade at Ohio State’s Moritz College of Law, where he held an endowed professorship and served as associate dean. Before entering academia, he served as an appellate attorney in the Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and as a law clerk for The Honorable Francis Murnaghan, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Tobin began his career on Capitol Hill, working there before, during, and after graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from Georgetown Law Center. He served as a professional staff member for U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes (D.-MD), the Senate Committee on the Budget, and the Joint Economic Committee of Congress. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from Duke University.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is less than 10 miles from the law school building and is accessible by light rail. It is, for many, the preferred airport in the Washington, DC, area. The University of Maryland Carey School of Law is an integral part of the Baltimore–Washington legal and business community.
